All Gave Some. Some Gave All. North Georgia College Killed in Action: Vietnam
Alumni of North Georgia College paid a high price in the jungles and rice paddies of Vietnam in the 1960's and 1970's. 29 NGC students made the ultimate sacrifice in that long war. These NGC men, ages 21 to 42, answered their country's call to service and fell on the battlefields of Vietnam.
At a meeting of Atlanta Vietnam Veterans Business Association (AVVBA)
volunteers, the idea was born to honor the fallen NGC students in a memorial
ceremony as they have done with over 25 memorials in the greater Atlanta area
since 1987. The AVVBA members want to make sure that these Americans who gave
their all are never forgotten.
This book will serve as a living tribute to those 29 NGC alumni who were
unable to live their American dream. It was delivered as part of a memorial
ceremony held on William J. Livsey Field at North Georgia College & State
University on April 27, 2010, and will help us to never forget that "Freedom is
